You might have heard that it's a good idea to bring a roadside emergency kit on road trips.

This is true, but roadside emergencies don't wait to pounce until you make the commitment to travel several hundred miles. They can happen at any time, so your kit should have a permanent home in your car for life's unexpected bouts of misfortune.

If you don't already have a kit, don't worry -- now is an excellent time to make one!

Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

  • Reflective warning triangles (or other flameless flare alternative)
  • Jumper cables
  • First-aid kit
  • Foam tire sealant
  • Duct tape
  • Poncho
  • Blanket

Keep these items organized in a bag so you can easily find them when you need them and don't forget to keep your cell phone charged.

The experienced technicians at our service center in North Brunswick, NJ can perform a safety checkup on your vehicle to make sure it's fit for any trip. Schedule an appointment today!
